I ran across a couple of cool products: PCB, a Linux PC Board designer, and Press-n-Peel film. Finally, it seemed that the planets were aligned correctly for me to set aside point-to-point soldering and design a PC board. There are *tons* of tutorials on the web out there on using this technique. Some specific tips: On my iron, I set it between low and high, and ironed in circles with the circuit board on a small piece of flat wood for 4 minutes. I used a linewidth of 25, via hole of 32, and via size of 80. That worked better than default. Here is a screenshot of my circuit w/ PCB. 8048controller PCB format

The board works well. The netlist is not complete, but the circuit board is complete. Pretty much all that is left is the Crystal, power, and capacitors. Maybe someday I'll make the netlist pretty and add the other components. I'll also put up an XFIG schematic as well.
