Circuit Cellar and Micromint
Steve Ciarcia's column in Byte magazine was certainly one of the largest influences on my homebrew computer passion. My favorite was his Fraggle Rock lunchbox PC article, with the radar alarm using Polaroid SX-70 parts coming in second. I actually got permission from Steve Ciarcia to put up some pictures of the lunchbox: fraggle1.jpg fraggle2.jpg If anybody out there has color pictures, send them to me. Micromint has a pretty cool microcontroller that is pretty much the same as my entire homebrew computer project, but it is much smaller. There are also some good links off the engineering section of Circuit Cellar's web page. |
